In May 31st, pre-school to
4th graders finished their terms and we had a school concert at the nearby
hall.
I personally did not participate in the performance of any dance or
song but helped an Art Teacher with the decorations. Having made a lot of paper
flowers, I found it interesting and felt delighted that they used them not only
for decorating but also for the costumes of the little girls!
When I
asked some pre-school and 1st grade class students to help us make paper
flowers, some wanted one of them but I had to say NO since we didn't have enough
"ohana-gami" papers to give them out at that time.
I was happy to see those girls playing classic ballet with smiles, proudly
putting flowers on their hands and around their necks.
In the middle of the concert, the
MCs(Master of Ceremonies) introduced us (Japanese interns) to the audience and
some chosen students sang Japanese songs. They really did very
well.
Summer school has started from this week. We heard the schedule on
that Monday morning and had a class right that time, but I somehow managed to do
that. One period is for 80 minutes without break, so it might be too long for
youngsters (pre-school to 2nd grades)... I have to be very well prepared not to
be bored!
