I keep assisting a teacher at her ESL class now. Every time at the beginning of the lesson, I do something for icebreaking such as teaching them interesting English idioms, giving small quizes, riddles, talking with them about gestures, superstitions, high school life, new year's events in their home countries and so on. It's really interesting to know about the cultures in other countries. I also tried origami,which not only the students but also Canadian teachers really liked. The other day I had a meeting about what I'm going to do in the regular lessons from September. I want to prepare for my teaching during summer. In July I'm going to assist again in another summer international English course. I want to have as many teaching experiences as possible. I'm really enjoying my life here. |
